Sorry for the delay in new postings on this crazy thing... it has been a whirl wind of a month and a half and while I am still searching for my legs I felt oddly compelled to write on this e-journal I have been keeping!
This school year has been a roller coaster for me, I have been busily working on my classes for grad school. Let me tell you, it was quite a relief for me to see that traditional courses are so much less stressful then the classes I took over the summer... which were insanely demanding! Thank goodness that at this point in time there have been sporadic assignments due, I have an inkling {and 2 course syllabus'} telling me that big assignments are going to hit at the same time! Maybe I can be the anal retentive planner that I am and actually succeed in getting projects done ahead of time! **fingers crossed!**
Now on to the big news that is about to hit:
I got my 4th grade crazies a class pet!!!! I am so excited, and she is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Now I don't think I would have ever called myself a bunny person, but I think this is going to be a successful class pet for the age that by kiddo's are! I really like the fact that this is something they will be able to touch and name and take home on the weekends {if their parents say it's okay!}. My friend {and fellow teacher} Eryn got my bunnies sister and is going to house it as her class pet as well! We are crazy ladies who ask about one thousand questions, and do extensive amounts of research on things before we make up our minds we understand the pros and cons to getting this as our class pet, needless to say we are both willing to take on this responsibility! Go Us! {and if you ever have any free time and think about the adorable honey colored bunny in the cage in my living room anxiously awaiting her 26 crazy 4th graders, please send us good vibes, happy smiles, and prayers! if we don't need it for the bun bun then I will at least need it to give me strength to get through the day!}
Moving on...
Today I believe I spent an hour at Target, wandering the isles and wholeheartedly avoiding being productive and grading papers and tests from my kids. Beginning in the tech area and looking at all of the movies and books I was so distracted it was ah-mazing! I even felt compelled to purchase a new movie for myself. {This was a treat, I don't feel the need to purchase movies because I am one of those suckers who is sticking with Netflix even after they raised the prices!} I was excited to finally open it and put it in the dvd player around 8 this evening and after going through all of the hassle of unwrapping all of the plastic wrap.... The Case Was EMPTY!!!! ***BLAST*** Such a major bummer!
hopefully I will get better about my frequency posting!
I do miss Shimmer Sparkle Sarah when I don't give it the love it deserves!
also hope to add pictures the next post!! :)
