Ahhh! I have felt so busy lately and this week isn't going to get too much better, in fact I am certain that it is probably going to be one of the busiest yet..
I thought I would take a moment to tell whomever is out there still reading to not give up hope on me, I will have time hopefully starting next week, to get to blog more!
This is my last week of my first year of teaching and it leaves me thinking A LOT about what I would like to do differently next year with my future fourth graders! I promise promise I will get into that a lot more soon.
Anywho, this is a beautiful picture I found on pinterest today and it sorta brightened my evening up! Hopefully it has the same effect on you!

BEST. TUESDAY. EVER.
So so sorry for my delay in posting last week... I don't know where the week went but it seemed like one day it was Monday and then it was Friday, and then the weekend was over... WOW!!
I cannot even begin to explain my past few days...
When I began teaching this class I was nervous... I had a big group of big kids to impress and teach and impact positively! HOLY SMOKES!!
Needless to say I made great connections with my fantastic with the "tweens" I spend so much time with. I sit with them and talk during their lunch time, I try to have "REAL" conversations with them about what is going on in their lives so that they know that they are important in my life (and let me truly tell you, THEY ARE!!!)
One young lady in particular has a special place in my heart. I am guessing our easy conversation was aparent to one of the boys in my class because he is convinced that we were friends before school began and that we are Best Friends! We make jokes out of it, yes she has the same crazy sense of humor as me! One day last week I got an email from said student and her sign off melted my heart:
When I recieved an email from her asking if I would go to her show tonight how could I resist?!
The show was adorable, grade school student acting in secret plays about pirates and clowns. Could anything be cuter?! I found my students mother after the performance and was greeted with a huge hug and sheer excitement that I was there and her daughter would be elated! Wow! My heart was warmed!
Tonight made me feel like my time as a teacher has been more wonderful then I EVER imagined it could be! I cannot express how wonderful it feels for a mom of one of my kids to give me big hugs and tell me how much her daughter loves me. How excited she will be to see that I am at her show. How sad she is that I will not be teaching her daughter next year, and how sad her daughter is, because she loves me and we are best friends! Who wouldn't feel touched by such wonderful words from a parent!?
What an amazing evening! I don't think I could have ever asked for a better way to spend a Tuesday night!
Warm hugs for ALL,
P.S. Enjoy this little tid-bit from my "celebrity day" inspiration!!
